Commonwealth LNG announced today that Jesse Lee has joined the company as Executive Vice President, LNG Marketing, with responsibility for implementation of Commonwealth’s global LNG marketing strategy.
Lee brings more than 20 years of international business development experience, including the negotiation and execution of long-term LNG offtake agreements with strategic customers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the U.K., China and India.
“I’m very pleased that Jesse has joined our team,” said Commonwealth LNG Founder and CEO Paul Varello. “Recent global events have led to a very dynamic LNG market. Jesse’s international LNG experience is crucial to addressing the complex concerns of our customers in securing long-term contracts for a stable supply of clean and affordable energy.”
For his part, Lee said he was attracted to the opportunity to promote Commonwealth’s innovative design and low-cost model for its 8.4 mtpa facility currently under development in Cameron, Louisiana.
Lee holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the International University of Japan and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Bethel University in Indiana.
The company’s remaining pre-FID activities are underway for a projected start of construction next year with an accelerated schedule that will allow the project to be producing LNG in mid-2026 using a predominantly modular approach with major components being fabricated offsite.
